In fact, Wegmans will be open during regular hours on Labor Day, along with many other grocery stores, including but not limited to:

  • ALDI
  • Giant Eagle
  • Target
  • Walmart
  • Meijer 
  • Kroger
  • Trader Joe’s
  • Sam’s Club
  • Whole Foods

However, some stores like Costco will be closed for the day, and some are operating only during modified store hours.

Make sure your local Wegmans is open before visiting

While you can count on most grocery stores to be open, including Wegmans, it’s clear that you can’t anticipate all stores you may want to visit will be open to the public. As an example, Costco is not open. 

As a result, it’s a good idea to be proactive and do a quick extra check just to make sure nothing is unusual with your particular location.
