Jordan’s Islamic International Arab Bank provides a comprehensive suite of digital Islamic banking products. The bank’s investments in digital infrastructure support services like onboarding; marketplace integration; buy now, pay later services; and bill payment options.

Boubyan Bank’s mobile app offers an intuitive digital-banking experience, enabling users to manage accounts, cards, payments, savings, and rewards. Key features include digital onboarding, instant money transfers through Pay Me and Pay You, a 24/7 virtual assistant (Musaed), and Western Union integration. Innovations include the bank’s Salary in Advance service, which allows customers to access up to 60% of their salary before payday, and the WAMD money-transfer service, which facilitates instant payments via mobile numbers. Boubyan’s Digital Murabaha One-Visit service allows eligible Kuwaiti salaried customers to apply for murabaha financing up to 95,000 Kuwaiti dinars ($310,000) securely through the app.

Oman’s Bank Muscat introduced new digital services in 2024. The bank’s strategy emphasizes seamless integration through apps, chatbots, and social media for a unified experience. Bank Muscat boosts customer engagement with cashback and rewards, as well as personalizing services using data analytics. Subsidiary Meethaq Islamic Banking provides 24/7 online support, tutorials, and fraud-prevention awareness. Many branch services, such as personal information updates, card requests, and account openings, are now digital, allowing branches to focus on sales. The bank also offers its Speed Transfer cross-border remittance service, launched initially for Pakistan but now also for Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka, and with plans for more corridors.

The Kuveyt Turk mobile app enhances customer experience with a redesigned dashboard. This update, based on neuroscience-based design validation, offers a customizable Quick Transaction feature, balance-visibility control, and integrated approvals on the home page for simplified banking.

The first digital Islamic community bank in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), ruya bank, offers shariah-compliant retail Islamic banking via a mobile app. Customers can open accounts in under five minutes, using the country’s national digital identity system, UAE Pass eKYC, and with paperless management of current, savings, and specialized kids’ savings accounts.
