Is Aldi open on Labor Day?
Some major retailers are planning to close their doors to customers on Labor Day. Costco, for example, only closes seven times a year, but Labor Day happens to be one of them.
If you’re hoping to do your last-minute holiday weekend shopping at Aldi, here’s some good news. Aldi will, in fact, be open on Labor Day.

However, the store plans to operate with limited hours. For this reason, it’s best to check your local Aldi and see what time it plans to open and close.
And it’s not just Aldi.
Other major retailers will likely alter their hours to accommodate the holiday, so it’s best to call around so you know what to expect.
When does Aldi close during the year?
Aldi only closes its doors to customers four times during the year:
- New Year’s Day
- Easter Sunday
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
However, on major holidays like Labor Day, Aldi tends to operate with limited hours. These include:
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Christmas Eve
- New Year’s Eve
The good news is that Aldi’s typical store hours are 9am to 8pm during the week, so there’s plenty of opportunity to stock up on affordable groceries and household products when it isn’t a holiday.
