Legendary rock band returns to Las Vegas Strip casino residency

Las Vegas casino theaters and showrooms feature a variety of music residencies of all shapes and sizes for guests to enjoy.

Some residencies have been running at certain casinos for decades, while others are shorter engagements from bands that might return a year or two in the future.

Visitors can count on certain headliners to always be appearing on stage, including 1970s superstar pop singer Barry Manilow, who signed a lifetime residency agreement in December 2024 to perform exclusively at the off-Strip Westgate Las Vegas International Theater.

Manilow has been performing in the International Theater for over 20 years, since February 2005. He also performed shows at Paris Las Vegas on the Strip.

Legendary rock star Carlos Santana has headlined a long-running residency on the Las Vegas Strip since 2012, performing over 300 shows to sold-out audiences. Santana continues his shows at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in November and has added 15 more shows in January, February, and May 2026.

Eagles, Backstreet Boys continue residencies at Sphere

Music fans can also see major concerts at the sensational Sphere Las Vegas, as superstar band Eagles resume their performances Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, 7, and 8.

1990s boy band Backstreet Boys continue their Sphere residency with holiday season shows on Dec. 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 2025 and Jan. 2-3.

Popular Chicago band Styx returns to the Las Vegas Strip for five shows at its latest engagement, “The Las Vegas Residency,” on Jan. 23, 24, 28, 30, and 31, 2026, at the Venetian Theater at the Venetian Las Vegas.

Another Chicago-based band that Styx toured with in 2018 is also returning to The Venetian for its annual residency.

Chicago returns to Venetian for 9th residency

For the ninth year in a row, legendary rock band Chicago returns to the Venetian Theater at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas for a nine-show residency in February 2026.

The “25 or 6 to 4” band is the longest-running residency performer in the Venetian Theater’s history with more than 60 shows, The Venetian said in a statement.

Chicago has scheduled shows on Feb. 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 27, and 28, all beginning at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. Pacific. Ticket prices start at $49.95, plus fees.

Chicago has sold over 100 million records, including 11 No. 1 singles, five consecutive No. 1 albums, 21 Top 10 singles, five gold singles, and 25 of its 38 albums have been certified platinum.

The band released its 38th, and most recent, studio album “Born for This Moment,” in 2022, which included the single “If This Is Goodbye.”

Remarkably, Chicago has toured every year since forming in 1967, and continues touring with three of its original members, Lee Loughnane on trumpet and vocals, Robert Lamm on keyboards and vocals, and James Pankow on trombone.

Also in 2022, Gravitas Ventures released the Chicago documentary “The Last Band On Stage,” which explores the band’s March 14, 2020, concert when they were the last band playing in the U.S. as the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns had began.
