The NFL isn’t just the most-watched league in America, it’s the biggest money machine in sports. And these five stars are leading the charge with record-breaking deals.
So here are the players with the highest average salary per year, or APY, for each position on offense.
Starting with the most expensive position in football — quarterback. Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys leads the league with a massive $60 million average salary — $5 million more than fellow quarterbacks Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Trevor Lawrence.
At running back, it’s Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles. Fresh off his first Super Bowl win, Barkley landed the richest deal ever for his position at $20.6 million per year.
Wide receiver belongs to Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals. He signed a four-year, $161 million deal worth $40.3 million a year, making him one of the highest-paid non-quarterbacks in the league.
At tight end, it’s George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers. The team reworked his contract this summer, bumping his APY to $19.1 million, barely edging out Trey McBride for the top spot at the position.
And on the offensive line, Rashawn Slater of the Los Angeles Chargers holds the top spot. His deal averages $28.5 million a year, making him the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history.
These five guys represent the highest average salaries at each position, and together, they’re pulling in over $168 million a season.
